We are thrilled to have formed such successful partnership over the past two years and to finally be able to share the results of our MailArt4Seniors project!
Project partners from six European countries have just wrapped up the final project meeting in Bologna, Italy, reflecting on the project’s successes and planning its sustainability beyond its completion.
As the pandemic has forced older adults into isolation, our project aimed to help them cope with loneliness and maintain their mental and physical well-being through mail art activities. We developed an innovative non-formal training program for adult educators, providing them with tools to train seniors on how to use mail art as a means of expression and communication.
Through our collection of best practices, curriculum, and e-learning portal, we’ve created a comprehensive training program for seniors to combat isolation and improve their social lives. We believe that this project was innovative, necessary, and timely, and we are proud to have played a part in enhancing the well-being of older adults during such challenging times.
