Circus Carousel Workshop
The Fix in Art Circus Carousel is a Greek-German collab that gives young people the chance to explore the circus arts. While developing technical skills from juggling scarves and balls to climbing aerial silks, we will discover our individual interests and strengths. Since circus pedagogy is all about promoting personal growth in an inclusive space where we learn together and from each other, we will also create shapes as a group to experience movement qualities through music, and play around with our imagination and body expression in circus games.
About Joke
Joke is a circus pedagogue, social worker and circus artist currently based in Berlin. Originally from Karlsruhe, she studied Educational Sciences and the Arabic Language (Bachelor) at the University of Cologne where she also did her education as a circus trainer. She found her way to #socialcircus through an internship in the “Palestinian Circus School” which inspired her a lot and made her start her circus trainer’s training and later her education as a circus artist, first at CAU Granada and currently at the ETAGE in Berlin.
